FINALIST IN ARTIST MAGAZINE CONTEST (December2011 issue):
Out of 7,000 entries in Artist Magazine's annual contest, only 30 winners and 310 finalists were selected. I was fortunate enough to be one of them. This painting entitled "Attitude" is executed in oil paint and gold leaf, and shows a Carolina wren on nandina leaves. The trick was to balance the painted image against the refective gold.
The painting is available for $995 and is presented in a 5" gold frame.
